"Last Light at The Hi-Da-Way"

Tucked into a quiet cove, this Hi-Da-Way feels a world away, the kind of place you discover by accident and don’t want to leave.

The red house sits close to the water, surrounded by palms, marsh grasses, dock posts, and shifting reflections. I used bold color, loose brushwork, and layers of warm reds, violets, blues, and golden light to push the scene beyond a literal view. The house gives the painting its structure, while the water and sky bring movement and atmosphere.

It’s a coastal escape, bright, tucked away, and full of that end-of-day glow.
